Dr Ozan Amir

FACPS - Fellow, Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons

Dr Ozan Amir is a Specialist Podiatric Surgeon and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons. He completed his undergraduate podiatry degree at the Queensland University of Technology in 1994 and his Master of Podiatry at Curtin University in 2004, and has spent more than two decades in private practice across Canberra and Sydney.

His surgical training was undertaken with the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons and extended overseas. In the United Kingdom he completed a preceptorship in the orthopaedic department at Great Western Hospital in Swindon, Wiltshire, concentrating on forefoot surgery and the diabetic high-risk foot. In the United States he spent three months training at the Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, where his work centred on rearfoot reconstruction.

Ozan's clinical interests are bunion surgery and complex forefoot reconstruction, including severe hammertoe deformity, and he is experienced in minimally invasive foot and ankle techniques. He is an international member of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery.

He is a sessional lecturer in podiatric surgery at Western Sydney University's School of Podiatry, and contributes to the wider NSW podiatry community through workshops, continuing-education lectures and conference presentations.

At Bexley Podiatry: Foot & Ankle Clinic, Ozan sees patients whose foot and ankle problems warrant surgical assessment - including people referred from Bexley, Rockdale, Kogarah, Hurstville and across southern Sydney whose symptoms have not settled with conservative care.
