We specialise in providing General Foot Care and Lower Limb Therapeutic devices such as Custom Orthotics, Medical Grade Footwear, Compression Garments (Medical Grade), and Ankle Foot Orthotics (AFOs).

 

Under the NDIS we are accredited and registered to provide the following services:

At Bexley Podiatry: Foot & Ankle Clinic, our Podiatrists can provide the following services and devices:

Services

 

General Foot Care –  Treatment and management of problematic nail and skin conditions such as ingrown toe nails, corns and calluses for patients with reduced self-care capacity.

 

Surgical Intervention - Evaluation, advice and management for plantar warts and ingrown toe nails.


Diabetic Foot Care – Neurovascular assessments and chronic wound management/prevention.

 

Children and Adult Lower Limb Conditions – Development, Alignment and Gait Assessment.

 

Devices

 

Custom Foot Orthotics – Prescription, Manufacturing and Fitting to assist patients patients with foot deformities, abnormal gait patterns and biomechanical abnormalities.

 

Ankle Foot Orthotics (AFOs) - for management of foot drop and muscle weakness.

 

Medical Grade Footwear - to aid in mobility.


Medical Grade Compression Stockings – to manage peripheral venous insufficiency.

 

 

Accessing Podiatry under a NDIS plan

 

If there is a clinical need and your NDIS plan allows for therapy supports for daily living, you should be able to access podiatry services at Bexley Podiatry: Foot & Ankle Clinic.

 

Therapeutic devices can be accessed under the assistive technology category.

 

Devices need NDIS prior approval and an initial appointment will be required for our clinicians to assess your clinical need and determine the best device to supply.
