People with diabetes risk serious and disabling foot complications and even amputation. Initial assessments upon diagnosis can provide a baseline record of your foot health. A regular assessment can lead to early detection and treatment which has been shown to prevent future diabetic foot complications.
Deep tissue/ Remedial Massage
We pride ourselves on treating the body holistically and thus provide deep tissue and remedial massage therapy by a qualified and experienced remedial massage therapist.
We offer comprehensive biomechanical assessments which include a systematic assessment of gait, muscles, joints and ligaments of the lower limb. At Bexley Podiatry we pride ourselves on education and attention to detail, thus all our biomechanical consults are booked for an hour.
Orthoses help to realign the foot and distribute body weight evenly. They can be used for all for a variety of problems including pain, poor stability and gross motor problems. These devices are not simple arch supports and need to be custom-made for each individual.
What is the best shoe for me? This is one of the most common questions we get asked. The answer depends on many things. The type of activity you are planning, the type of foot you have, your age, your medical conditions and any foot problems that you may have. And here at Bexley Podiatry, we specialise in footwear evaluation and footwear presciption.
We are a bulk billing practice for patients on a primary care plan. Medicare now offers up to five podiatrist appointments through the Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) initiative. Visit your GP to see if you are eligible for Podiatry treatment under this care plan.
