Cover & rebates we support
Medicare (EPC care plans)
If your GP has placed you on a Chronic Disease Management (EPC) plan, you may be entitled to Medicare-subsidised podiatry visits. We bulk bill eligible patients on an EPC plan - bring the referral from your GP.
Private health (HICAPS)
If you hold extras cover with podiatry benefits, we process your claim on the spot through HICAPS - you only pay the gap. Bring your health fund card to your appointment.
DVA
We see eligible Department of Veterans' Affairs patients with a valid referral (D904) from your GP. Ask our reception team about arranging your care.
NDIS
Bexley Podiatry is an NDIS-registered provider (Org No. 4050113117). We support plan-managed and self-managed participants - see our NDIS page for details.
Fees & billing FAQs
Do you bulk bill?
We bulk bill eligible patients who have a Medicare Chronic Disease Management (EPC) care plan from their GP. For that, your GP needs to refer you under the plan - bring the referral to your first visit. Standard private appointments aren't bulk billed, but you can claim through private health extras on the spot.
How much does an appointment cost?
Fees depend on the appointment type and any treatment involved. Our reception team will explain the fee and any Medicare, private health, DVA or NDIS rebate that applies before you book - just call us on 1300 345 226.
Can I claim on my private health fund?
Yes. If your extras cover includes podiatry, we process the claim through HICAPS at the time of your appointment and you pay only the difference. Bring your health fund card.
Do I need a referral?
Not for a standard appointment - you can book directly. A GP referral is required to claim under a Medicare EPC care plan or for DVA, and helps us if you're being referred for a specific concern.
Not sure what you'll pay?
Call the clinic and our reception team will explain the fees and any rebate you're entitled to before you book - no surprises.
