Overview

Recover Without Losing the Season

Most foot, ankle and lower-limb sports injuries come down to load - too much too soon, or a body that hasn't been prepared for the demand. Treat only the sore tissue and the injury tends to reappear the moment training ramps back up.

We assess the injury and everything feeding it - training history, footwear, biomechanics and strength - then build a graded return that lets you rebuild capacity instead of repeatedly breaking down. Where imaging helps, we can use in-clinic diagnostic ultrasound in the same visit.

Common Questions

Sports Injury Assessment FAQs

Do I have to stop training entirely?

Rarely. Full rest often deconditions you and slows the return. We usually modify load - adjusting volume, surface or footwear - so the tissue settles while you keep as much activity as the injury allows.

Do you do running assessments?

Yes. Where it's relevant we analyse your gait and running mechanics to understand the load pattern behind the injury and to guide footwear, orthoses and rehab decisions.

How soon can I get back to sport?

It depends on the injury and how long it's been present. After assessing you we give a realistic timeframe and a staged plan rather than a one-size-fits-all answer.

Can you help with footwear and orthotics?

Yes. Where footwear or mechanics are contributing, we advise on suitable shoes and can prescribe custom orthoses as part of your return-to-sport plan.
